Opening Statement
Too often, the resources available to students are hidden behind bureaucracy, misinformation, or a lack of awareness. My goal is to bridge the gap between what is offered and what is genuinely accessible, ensuring that every student knows, understands, and can effectively use the supports in place for their success.

Pillar 1- Resource Accessibility
Huron offers valuable academic and career resources, but too many students are unaware of them or face barriers in accessing them. My plan will improve transparency and efficiency to ensure all students can take full advantage of these opportunities.

1
Career Resources Centralization
Introduce a QR code system and Brightspace page consolidating career services, job boards, and networking tools.l
2
Transparent Academic & Career Pathways
Increase visibility of work-integrated learning, research opportunities, and entrpreneurial funding.
3
Careers Week
Establish a degree-inclusive career panel connecting students with alumni and faculty.
4
Academic Advising Improvements
Advocate for MyDegree at Western and update degree tracking tools
5
Library Support Expansion
Introduce a Library Ambassador role to connect students with academic resources and tutoring support.
Pillar 2- Wellness and Safety
Student wellness must be prioritized through proactive support, clear communication, and destigmatization of help-seeking. My plan will foster a campus environment where mental health resources are accessible and effective.

1
Mandating Content Warnings on Syllabi
Implement a standardized system for professors to provide advance notice for sensitive topics.
2
Clarifying the Huron Early Alert Team (HEART)
Develop a universal pamphlet outlining its function and confidentiality policies.
3
Expanding Peer-to-Peer Support
Strengthen mentorship programs, particularly for international students and first-years.
4
Improving Reporting Structures
Ensure safer, more transparent reporting processes for misconduct and wellness concerns.
Pillar 3- Equity, Inclusion, and Advocacy
Every student deserves to feel represented and supported. My plan will enhance student government transparency, strengthen advocacy efforts, and ensure diverse student populations have the resources they need.

1
Strengthening Representation
Increase engagement through coffee chats, targeted outreach, and General Assembly (GA) rep support.
2
Enhancing Student Government Transparency
Improve awareness of VPSA roles, update the HUCSC website, and host leadership information sessions.
3
Supporting Diverse Student Populations
Expand focus groups, increase support for cultural and pride clubs, and enhance Indigenous student services.
4
Ensuring Financial Transparency
Hold Huron accountable for clear, timely communication on tuition, fees, and financial aid.
5
Expanding Menstrual Equity
Increase access to free menstrual products in all bathrooms.
Pillar 4- Sustainability
A sustainable campus requires both institutional commitment and student engagement. My plan will promote sustainability literacy and improve waste management to make eco-conscious choices easier for all students.
1
Recycling & composting Education
Provide resources for off-campus students and improve composting guidance in dining halls.
2
Improving Campus Waste Management
Increase access to trash and recycling bins and implement awareness campaigns.
3
Supporting Sustainability Initiatives
Advocated for sustainable dining options, student-led green initiatives, and collaboration with Western's sustainability programs

Closing Statement
Students should not have to struggle to find or access the resources meant to support them. My campaign is about bridging the gap between availability and accessibility, ensuring that all students have the tools they need to thrive. Together, we can build a more transparent, inclusive, and supportive campus community.
